ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE 2008 ANNUAL MEETINGS
The Thirty-First Annual Meeting of the North Carolina Rate Bureau will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2008. The meeting will be held at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center, One Thousand Club Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407.
The Thirty-Fifth Annual Meeting of the North Carolina Reinsurance Facility will convene at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. The meeting will be held at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center, One Thousand Club Road, Greensboro, North Carolina 27407.
TOBACCO-FREE CAMPUS EFFECTIVE 12/01/2008:
As part of our Wellness initiatives and ongoing concern for the health of our associates, NCRB, NCRF and NCIGA will prohibit the use of all tobacco products on our campus effective December 1, 2008. The goal of the tobacco-free campus program is to provide a healthy environment for associates, temporary associates, contractors/vendors and visitors by having a tobacco-free campus.
What are “Tobacco Products” – Any form of tobacco including, but not limited to, cigarettes, cigars, pipe tobacco, chewing tobacco, snuff, etc.
What do we mean by a Tobacco-Free Campus? It means that use of any tobacco product inside and outside the building, parking lots, sidewalks and adjacent properties to our Campus is prohibited.
Those who do smoke in their personal vehicle are required to have the windows closed (the smoke and tobacco products must be completely contained within the vehicle) and to not leave any trash or material from their tobacco use on the campus (users of tobacco products must dispose of the remains in the proper containers but never in one within the campus).
There is no “designated smoking area” or other area on our campus where associates, contractors/vendors or visitors may use tobacco products, with the exception of their personal vehicles.
