Q: What do I do with legal bills/legal expenses that were incurred prior to the insolvency of the insurance company?

A: Legal bills and/or legal expense bills incurred prior to the insolvency date should be directed to the liquidator of the appropriate insolvent insurance company.  The NC Insurance Guaranty Association can only consider these charges if incurred after the insolvency date.

A: All up to the date of insolvency and all new DOI 30 days after the insolvency, after that the insured must have a new policy in effect with a solvent insurance company.

Q: Where do I get my loss run?

A: We are not an insurance company therefore we do not give loss runs.

Q: How will this affect my MOD?

A: We report to the Liquidator all our figures but we have no control over when and if they will be recorded against your MOD.

Q: What are my rights under workers' compensation?

A:  Call NCIC @ (919)807-2500 or visit their website:  www.comp.state.nc.us/
