The North Carolina Motor Vehicle Reinsurance Facility was created by legislation
enacted in 1973, and those statutes, as currently constituted and amended, are contained in
NORTH CAROLINA GENERAL STATUTES
CHAPTER 58, ARTICLE 37
and include N.C.G.S. 58-37-1, et seq.
The North Carolina Motor Vehicle Reinsurance Facility is commonly referred to now as the
North Carolina Reinsurance Facility.
